Dhos
Inspired by Hmong communities in Vietnam, a series of aluminum stools are created to promote gatherings and a sense of community. Each stool is composed of four identical triangular panels cut from the same sheet of aluminum and bent on the same mold to create its curvature. The exterior colors are identical but the interior colors vary in accordance to the dominant colors of different Hmong clans. Each stool is different through size and color, but remain connected through production, form and material.
The Dhos Stools were showcased in the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York City during NY Design Week 2010.
