Hake Hake

Hake Hake is a floor mat composed entirely of disposed industrial brush heads. By trimming its bristles and machining the edges, eighteen individual floor scrubs are uniquely arranged to create a welcome mat that extends the life cycle of an otherwise discarded product. The handle holes in the middle of each brush allows for snow and water to drain through the base, while the medium length coarse bristles are perfect for removing any dirt, gravel, mud, and road salt before entering your home. Hake Hake comes in a variety of colors and bristle textures.

Hake Hake was a finalist for the TerraCycle Industrial Waste Competition and exhibited in Sustainable NYC in June 2009
